I was reading about a signaling pathway that Harvard stem cell scientists were working on to correct a faulty signalling pathway in Rett.
Mike replied explaining how the ground breaking work in Auckland relates to aspects of this research.

Margaret invited us to visit her lab to meet some of her very clever staff who she worked with which was exciting.
Dugald being an engineer followed the complexities of the lab equipment with great interest.
It was an honour for Margaret to share her valuable time and introduce us to the other brilliant people she works with. They made us so welcome.
We came away feeling inspired...

John and Joan Weaver are Canadians who love visiting New Zealand. They learnt about Rett Syndrome whilst visiting us and made a generous donation to help with a special project for Rett NZ.
They were very excited about Susan Norwell's work teaching the girls to read and write.
