Last Monday, Christine and I were fortunate to be able to attend the celebration of Becky Greig's life at Waikumete Cemetery. What a sad but truly wonderful and moving occasion. The Chapel was completely filled by friends and family, young and not so young. Becky clearly touched the hearts of all she knew very deeply. She, as do all of her Rett sisters, has left a legacy of love for many to treasure in the warmest corners of their hearts. All of the lovely tributes spoke of her strength, her laughter, her smiles and her sense of humour. They were clearly specific to Becky but in many ways, if you closed your eyes, they could have been talking about any or all of our daughters who are such wonderful teachers and who have to deal with so many adversities each and every day. We owe you a huge debt of gratitude Becky. Thank you for your smiles. You are free from the restrictions, free from all discomfort. Fly free beautiful angel.
